"The food is good but not the star here. It's all about atmophere and attitude."

"Buca di Beppo is one of those places that's good to eat at with a bunch of college students but isn't where you should go for good Italian food. The food is average at best, and while the portions are large this doesn't make up for the food being so-so."

"This is the place to go when you have a big group of friends and need a place to eat good food. The prices are very reasonable if you go with a big group, but can be fairly pricey if you are dining just for two. Everything that I've tried here are good, but I always come back for the Linguini Frutti Di Mare and fried calamari. Delicious! I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good Italian food."

"Beppo is a family-style restaurant, which means that the food comes on huge platters that are meant to be shared by all. Unless you want to take home a mountain of doggy bags, you should bring at least 6-8 people. Because the food is prepared in bulk, the quality is average. The environment (music, decorations) is fun and is great for get togethers of friends or work groups (they handle large groups well). Be prepared to hear "That's Amore" and "Volare" more than once in an evening. If you like Grappa, you might even find yourself singing along."

"Don't bring a date here, bring a group. The portions are huge, the walls are decked with pictures of fat Italians, the food is delicious and comes on big plates to be shared by more than 3 people."
